Last Friday night was the greatest Friday night ever…
August 23, 2007
So, as you may have heard, a movie premiered last Friday evening that has generated some much deserved attention. That movie is none other than High School Musical 2.
Now, I know what you’re thinking, “Sean, you can’t be serious” or, “Sean, just…no.” But I am not afraid to admit that I thoroughly enjoyed it. It did help that I am a huge fan of the original High School Musical (I did not jump on that bandwagon until a few months ago, but what perfect timing with its predecessor airing so close to my initial viewing!) The movie had everything to enjoy: singing, dancing, love, drama, romance, laughs, tears, and a whole lotta Disney magic. And with songs like, “Breaking Free” and “Stick to the Status Quo” there is no way it could go wrong. Bravo Disney, you have won my heart.
Part 2 did not disappoint. The songs were decent, not as memorable as the first, but it was still a fun time. There were even times when certain characters seemed like they were falling apart at the seams, but they ended up making it.
I’ll be the first to admit HSM2 (thats High School Musical 2 for short) was not as good as the original, but c’mon, when has a sequel been as good as the original? Not even movies like Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2 or Breakin 2: The Electric Boogaloo lived up to the hype. Given all the hoopla and excitement that helped create the the HSM phenomenon, I think it faired pretty well. So while last Friday you may have been out searching for the next Citizen Cane or Godfather, I was enjoying my time with the HSM2 crew.
I’ll leave you with this:
First blog!
August 23, 2007
Hello world,
So i finally got with the times and started a blog. I don’ t know how often I’ll update it, or if I’ll even write one at all. I guess that all depends on how I’m feeling, and if anything exciting ever happens. That being said, expect a new blog from me at least once a week, maybe more. Hopefully my words will give you a look at my exciting life as a Dean’s Assistant/Band Member/Mexican. Jealous? I don’t blame you.
Check back often, much love.
Sean
