Sean, Allie, and Travis

The weekend of Thanksgiving, Allie and I took a trip down south to see one of our favorite bands, Travis. On our way to Anaheim, we visited her brother Nathan who is currently residing in Pasadena (tough break). We had some good pastrami sandwiches at this place called The Hat, hung out with Nathan for a while, then took off to the OC (don’t call it that.)
After a fine meal at the House of Blues, and after sitting through the horrendous Maximo Park, Travis took the stage. They put on a great concert and had great audience interaction. They even played their cover of “Baby One More Time!” I think my favorites of the night were “Side”, “All I Wanna Do is Rock”, “Writing to Reach You”, and “Turn.” They ended the night with “Why Does it Always Rain on Me?”, their minor hit here in the colonies. I love Travis, and you should too. One of the most special songs of the night was when Fran played a song acoustically…literally. Fortunately, I found the video on youtube, so enjoy.
Overall it was a great night and a great time. I would love to see them again.
